Ayan Imai-Hall is from Lee, NH and began studying tap dancing at the age of six. He met and studied with a variety of tap dancers including Aaron Tolson, who invited Ayan to join his New England Tap Ensemble. Ayan has had the opportunity to dance with the nationally touring companies Tap Kids and Atlantic Steps. Ayan won a traditional arts grant from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts working with TJ Wheeler, a Seacoast New Hampshire blues and jazz guitarist to study roots music. In 2013, Ayan gained an opportunity to work for Tapestry Dance Company for a year in Austin, TX.
