Orlando is a tap dancer from Hoboken, NJ. As a teenager, he was a member of the companies Cats Paying Dues, directed by Andrew Nemr, and Tap Kids, directed by Lisa Hopkins. Since moving to Rhode Island in 2014, he has presented his solo work at the SPACE Gallery (Portland, ME), On the Boards (Seattle), Brown University (Providence, RI), Movement Research at the Judson Church (NYC), DANCE NOW at Joe’s Pub (NYC), and La Casa de Cultura Ruth Hernández Torres (Río Piedras, Puerto Rico). He is a 2019 recipient of the Rebecca Blunk Fund Award from the New England Foundation for the Arts. With Subject:Matter, Orlando has performed at the Montreal Fringe Festival, the Beantown Tap Festival, Inside/Out at Jacob’s Pillow, and The Yard.
